On June 2, 2025, the Seattle Mariners announced they will retire Randy Johnson's No. 51 in a pregame ceremony during the 2026 season. Johnson, a Hall of Famer, pitched for the Mariners from 1989 to 1998, achieving notable success, including throwing the team's first no-hitter in 1990 and winning the Cy Young Award in 1995.
