At the Berlin Open, Marketa Vondrousova defeated top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka 6-2, 6-4. This secured Vondrousova's spot in the final against Wang Xinyu. Vondrousova's victory took 1 hour and 21 minutes and marked her first win over the No. 1 player. Sabalenka, who had a strong comeback in the quarterfinals, couldn't match Vondrousova's performance.
