Summer McIntosh of Canada won her first gold medal in the 400-meter freestyle at the swimming world championships in Singapore. She is aiming for five individual golds, a feat only Michael Phelps has achieved. McIntosh's time was 3:56.26, with Li Bingjie of China and Katie Ledecky of the U.S. taking silver and bronze, respectively. Lukas Martens of Germany won the men's 400 free.
