šØ Abstract
In what the UN called "unconscionable" acts, on May 8, 2025, the Indian navy reportedly forced about 40 Rohingya refugees, including children and elderly, into the sea near Myanmar. The refugees swam ashore, but their whereabouts remain unknown. The U.N. has urged India to refrain from such "inhumane" treatment and has appointed an expert to investigate. India has not commented.
