Shigeo Nagashima, known as "Mr. Pro Baseball" in Japan, passed away at 89. He was a legendary player and manager for the Yomiuri Giants, helping them win nine consecutive Japan Series titles from 1965 to 1973. Nagashima had a notable career with a .305 batting average, 2,471 hits, and 444 home runs.
