💨 Abstract
A volcanic eruption in southwestern Iceland has led to the evacuation of Grindavik and the famous Blue Lagoon. The eruption occurred following seismic activity on the Reykjanes Peninsula. Lava is flowing, but it currently does not threaten any structures. This area has been frequently evacuated since 2023, when a volcano awoke after 800 years.
