💨 Abstract
The Perseid meteor shower, peaking soon, will be hindered by a bright moon early Wednesday. Experts suggest waiting a week for better viewing with fewer meteors expected per hour around the peak. The Perseids can produce 60-100 meteors per hour under dark skies but only 10-20 with the moon's interference. Viewing lasts until August 23, best seen before dawn in areas away from city lights.
