💨 Abstract
In California, a woman and her 9-year-old son were stranded in a forest for 24 hours after losing signal. They were rescued thanks to handwritten notes. On July 12, volunteers were alerted to their absence, triggering a search. Campers spotted their vehicle, leading rescuers to handwritten notes with details. Following these notes, the team found the mother and son. They had ventured off-road and got lost.
