💨 Abstract
Environment Minister Steve Reed will outline water sector reforms to tackle sewage spills and update infrastructure. Although he reassures that billing increments will remain “small and steady,” he does not rule out above-inflation rises. Reed aims to halve sewage pollution in England by 2030 and indicated that he might resign if the goal isn’t met. Reed also criticized the regulator, Ofwat, which might be abolished.
