💨 Abstract

Poundland is closing 108 stores permanently this month and next, reducing its total from around 800 to 650-700. The closures are part of a restructuring plan following its acquisition by Gordon Brothers. The company, facing challenges due to the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis, aims to cut back on frozen food and online sales, focusing more on in-store womenswear and seasonal ranges.
