💨 Abstract
The UK government is introducing new measures to better protect victims of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse protection orders will be rolled out across England and Wales, allowing courts to impose conditions on perpetrators, including exclusion zones, electronic tagging, and behavior change programs. These orders aim to give victims more freedom and ensure perpetrators face consequences for breaches, including up to five years in prison. Campaigners welcome these changes, emphasizing the need for robust, enforceable restrictions and consistent training for frontline officers.
