💨 Abstract
South Africa's mining production declined by 0.9% year-on-year in November 2024, primarily due to drops in gold, iron ore, coal, and diamond production. However, platinum group metals and chromium ore saw growth, providing some relief. Mineral sales at current prices increased by 8.1% due to a surge in gold sales, while the seasonally adjusted production fell by 0.2%.
