đź’¨ Abstract
On Wednesday, 131 pupils at Gobisizwe Agricultural School in Ngqeleni, Eastern Cape, were treated for suspected food poisoning. Symptoms included dizziness, vomiting, and abdominal pain, likely caused by contaminated rice and tinned fish. Health officials transported the affected students to nearby medical facilities. The Eastern Cape Department of Education had previously issued guidelines to prevent such incidents, urging schools to comply with food safety policies.
