💨 Abstract
Zimbabwe, South Africa's neighbor, is leading Africa in combating pangolin trafficking, which threatens the survival of these endangered mammals. Since 2017, Zimbabwe has arrested over 500 individuals involved in pangolin crimes, more than any other African country. The country's strict Parks and Wildlife Act imposes mandatory nine-year prison sentences for pangolin-related offenses.
