💨 Abstract
The death toll has risen to three following the collapse of a temple under construction in Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal. A fourth body is being recovered. Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean MacPherson visited the site, noting the unstable conditions and unknown number of people potentially trapped. The Council for the Built Environment will investigate the cause, with initial reports suggesting illegal construction. Additionally, a 64-year-old devotee died of a heart attack at the site.
