💨 Abstract
The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry's final report will be made public, according to presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya. The interim report will be submitted to President Cyril Ramaphosa but not released publicly. The commission, investigating criminal infiltration of law enforcement, is not yet complete, and some witnesses will testify again. The government is also working on protecting witnesses and reviewing whistleblower protection laws. The possibility of extending the commission's timeframe is under consideration, with cost implications being a factor.
