💨 Abstract
The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) has warned parents and healthcare professionals about popular children's supplements marketed as immune boosters. These products contain zinc picolinate and selenium, which can cause side effects in children, including indigestion, diarrhea, and nausea. SAHPRA has instructed the public to return these products and has given manufacturers six months to withdraw them if not properly registered. The authority aims to protect children from potential health risks associated with these supplements.
