💨 Abstract
In 2025, Zimbabwe significantly contributed to South Africa's tourism boom, with the latter recording approximately 10.5 million international visitors. Zimbabwe emerged as a key source market due to proximity, economic ties, and frequent cross-border travel for various purposes. This influx boosted South Africa's tourism revenue and supported its post-pandemic recovery, with Zimbabwean travelers increasingly seeking premium experiences. The strong regional partnership highlights the importance of Zimbabwe in driving South Africa's tourism growth.
