đź’¨ Abstract
South Africa has secured production protocols with China for five stone fruit products: apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums, and prunes. This marks the first time the country has negotiated multiple production agreements with China. The agreements, to be formalized during the G20 summit, aim to counter the impact of US trade tariffs by opening new markets for local farmers. South Africa is also focusing on diversifying its exports to Asia and the Middle East.
