💨 Abstract
In 2015, over a million migrants and refugees landed on the Greek island of Lesbos, sparking a humanitarian crisis. Among them was Amena Namjoyan, who now works in Lesbos. The influx stressed Greece and the EU, leading to strained politics and divided opinions on migration. Today, Lesbos balances welcoming migrants like Namjoyan while facing tightened borders and rising far-right politics.
