💨 Abstract
A New Jersey police department's handling of a fatal shooting led a county prosecutor to take over its operations indefinitely. Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renee Robeson placed the Franklin Township Police Department's chief and a sergeant on leave amidst an investigation into the deaths of a woman and her boyfriend, found shot in their home. Later, a state trooper, the woman's ex-boyfriend with a history of alleged harassment, was found dead by suicide.
