💨 Abstract
In response to increased serious crashes since 2020, Prince William County is set to introduce red-light cameras at nine dangerous intersections. The program, initially approved in 2023, aims to enhance safety by targeting severe, angled collisions. Cameras, managed by a vendor, will issue $50 tickets for violations, avoiding driver’s license points or insurance impacts. The program's success will determine its continuation. Public hearing details include location and operator-specific nuances.
