đź’¨ Abstract
Five inmates and a police officer died when a South African Police Service (SAPS) van overturned on the R101 between Mokopane and Mookgophong in Limpopo. The van was transporting 11 inmates to court when the accident occurred. Six other inmates were injured and hospitalized. The SAPS and the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety confirmed the incident and advised motorists to use alternative routes due to the closure of the affected section.
