💨 Abstract
South Africa's fresh produce exports have surged, reaching more global markets. Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) reports significant growth in temperature-sensitive (reefer) exports over the past five years, driven by strong European demand for citrus, grapes, apples, and pears. Export revenue is projected to hit US$11.7 billion by 2025, with reefer cargo accounting for nearly a third of MSC's South African business.
