Brian O’Connor, formerly of Virginia, is taking over as the baseball coach at Mississippi State. After 22 seasons at Virginia, O’Connor led the program to seven College World Series appearances and a national championship. O'Connor has a winning percentage of .702 and has had 102 players drafted to the MLB. Mississippi State is looking to return to a top program after a disappointing season, with the hope that O'Connor can help them get there.
