💨 Abstract
Vanuatu’s coral reefs, though severely damaged by cyclones, earthquakes, and climate change, show signs of slow recovery. Cyclone Pam in 2015, cyclones in 2023, and an earthquake in 2024, along with crown-of-thorns starfish and sediment runoff, have devastated the reefs. Despite these challenges, some coral and marine life are beginning to return.
